  11. Patrick Sentenced to 40 Year Prison Term, 10 Years Probation

    Monday afternoon, Judge Michael Spaan sentenced Ariel Patrick -- a man convicted of beating Jamaal Barras to death outside of the F Street Station bar in September 2007 -- to a 40-year prison sentence, with 8 of those years suspended, leaving 32 to serve. After that, Patrick will face a 10-year probation, according to Spaan's order.
