  1. An interview with Amandeep Sandhu

When local author <a href="http://www.stoopstorytelling.com/storytellers/940" target="_blank">Rosalia Scalia</a> visited India, she was able to sit down with <a href="http://www.amandeepsandhu.com/" target="_blank">Amandeep Sandhu,</a> author of "<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Sepia-Leaves-Amandeep-Sandhu/dp/8183860079" target="_blank">Sepia Leaves."</a> She was kind enough to recount her meeting for Read Street. We'll break her missive into a parts, starting with her description of the encounter, and bit of a Q&amp;A. More of the interview will follow tomorrow. Here, then, is Rosalia:

  5. Funny or Die's Adam McKay on his site's comedy influence after five years

Five years ago this month the influential comedy website Funny or Die took a few baby steps and uploaded its first video, a rough, hastily assembled sketch that starred, appropriately enough, a baby. Pearl McKay was 2 years old at the time, the daughter of parents deeply rooted in Chicago &mdash; her mother, Shira Piven, grew up in Evanston, the sister of actor Jeremy Piven. Pearl's father, Adam McKay, got his start in the Chicago comedy scene in the early '90s, then left in 1995 to become a writer at "Saturday Night Live." The video was called "The Landlord" and featured Pearl screaming at McKay's comedy partner, Will Ferrell. Back then, expectations for Funny or Die, which seemed like just another mingling of originally produced comedy videos and user-uploaded material, fell somewhere in line with scores of other, similar Hollywood-Internet hybrid misfires &mdash; remember Dot Comedy (NBC), Pop (Steven Spielberg) and SuperDeluxe (TBS)?

  13. Beauty products made with natural ingredients

It's never been easier to feel like a natural woman. The 1960s mantra about getting ourselves back to the garden now applies to an increasing number of beauty products, with some small companies literally going to the garden and farm to bring customers fresh, natural, pure and organic ingredients in their hair- and skin-care items.

The liberal media, of which The Sun is unapologetically a part, has failed to report on the fact that George Zimmerman was confronted not by a Barack Obama look-alike or 17-year-old cherubic-faced "child," but by a young man well over six feet in height...
