  1. Charlie Sheen could really be #winning with 'Anger Management'

I don't like Charlie Sheen, and I thought the online mania over him last year after he was fired by CBS was a sign from God that American culture was in a very bad place and needed divine intervention to be saved.

  11. Movie review: Saw VI -- 2 out of 5 stars

"You have seen the errors in your policy," Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) hisses in the latest Saw movie. And, kids, he's hissing a pun at Big Insurance when he does, the profiteers who determine "who lives and who dies." As Jigsaw tortures the actuarial menace who sentenced him and other cancer patients to death, forcing Not-Evil-Just-Officious Will (Peter Outerbridge) to save or let die his Umbrella Insurance colleagues, Will is reminded that "your decisions [are] symbolized by the blood on your hands."

  15. Movie review: Saw V -- 1 out of 5 stars

    Orlando Sentinel Movie Critic
Another Allhallows Eve, another Saw movie. They're as dependable as pumpkins and as fresh as a jack-o'-lantern left out in the sun until Thanksgiving, but no matter. It wouldn't be fall without a little more torture porn. More "guilty" people deserving...

  19. 'Saw III'

Horror sequels tend to be exercises in creative sadism: same abattoir, different Roman numeral. Giving a pound of flesh where it's due, the "Saw" franchise doesn't just look for new settings on the grinder but also aspires to hack out a meaty story arc. "Saw III," however, winds up with the rest of the gristle.

  21. Review: 'Saw III'

    Detroit Free Press
Like an apple laced with razor blades, the release of a new "Saw" picture is a late-October tradition I can easily live without. The third installment offers the same sadistic shtick, opening with the familiar scene in a grungy basement bathroom with a...
