3. Beatles Tribute The Fab Faux Play the Warner Theatre in Torrington on Sept. 15

Legendary bands like the Beatles are often imitated but never duplicated by wannabe cover bands. But the Fab Faux, formed in 1998, have been critically acclaimed as being more than just a cover band. Grammy-winning bassist Will Lee is best known for lending his musical talents for two decades to the David Letterman show, Jimmy Vivino is currently a guitarist and musical director for the Conan O'Brien show, and the other three band members — drummer Rich Pagano, guitarist Frank Agnello and keyboard/guitarist Jack Petruzzelli — are also respected and sought-after musicians who've worked with notable names in the industry. Those in attendance at the Warner Theatre on Saturday September 15 can expect to hear songs that the Beatles never performed live, imitated as accurately as possible.

  9. Cheech & Chong come to the Warner Theatre in Torrington on April 20

Stoner comic legends Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong could have chosen anywhere — Amsterdam, sunny L.A., Jamaica, the Golden Triangle — for a gig on 4/20, a day with certain (cough) counter-cultural, cannabinoidal connotations attached to it. But where did they choose to perform their new show — no doubt a mix of old gags and new, and featuring Shelby Chong — on that special day? Torrington. That's gotta boost local egos a little bit. Let's hope they don't get pulled over on their way to the show.
