Watson: Paranoia, fear-mongering still in play

Anyone looking for a sign the Republican Party may have learned a lesson from the election, or that, in the wake of defeat, the influence of tea party extremists may have diminished, or that Republicans might finally be ready to work together with the president, Democrats, the majority of Americans, or our allies around the world, has only to consider the recent vote in the U.S. Senate.
