John Wesley United Methodist Church will hold an informal worship service at the church at 129 N. Potomac St. on Saturdays during June, July and August.
The next service will be Saturday at 5 p.m.
The worship service is “come as you are.”
There is free parking at the rear of the church. The Rev. Richard Jewell is senior pastor. Jonathan Giblin is director of music.

C.K. and George tied for the thinner-winner honors for TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 0446. Judy G. came in a close second.
C.K. presented a program on tips for better health. TOPS area captain Parilee Barber will speak about “Super Foods” at the next meeting.

Roast beef dinner
Grace United Methodist Church will hold a roast beef dinner and silent auction Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
The church is at 712 W. Church St. in Hagers-town.
The menu includes roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, coleslaw, roll and butter, coffee or tea, and lemonade. Dessert will be available. Hot dogs instead of roast beef will be available for children, if desired.
Tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for those ages 6 to 12. Those 5 and younger will be admitted free.
Proceeds will benefit the church budget.

In May, 80 members weighed in during the month for TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 0077 and the members lost a total of 55 1/4 pounds.
Weight-loss winners for the month were Peggy R. and Pauline M. Honored KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) members for May were Louise C., Bonnie B. and Lu M.
Terrie H. has lost 50 pounds, Bonnie B. has lost 20 pounds and Pat H. has lost 10 pounds.
The group meets Mondays at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave., Hagerstown. Weigh-in starts at 7:15 a.m. and the meeting is at 9:30 a.m.
