Senate candidate to make stop in Franklin County
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A former state representative has scheduled a Friday event as part of his campaign for U.S. Senate.
Berks County, Pa., will hold a town hall meeting at 7 p.m. in the social hall at Franklin Fire Co., 158 W. King St. The event is open to the public.
Rohrer served nine terms in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where he served on the appropriations, education, and game and fisheries committees.
Rohrer ran for governor in 2010, then served as state director for Americans for Prosperity from February to November 2011.

Pa. state senator to meet with area residents
GREENCASTLE, Pa. — State Sen. John Eichelberger will meet his new constituents during a luncheon Wednesday, Feb. 29, at the John Allison Public House, 104 E. Baltimore St., Greencastle.
The noon event is sponsored by the Greencastle-Antrim and Tuscarora Area Chambers of Commerce in partnership with Franklin County (Pa.) Commissioner Bob Thomas.
The event is open to the public. The event costs $10 for Chamber members and $15 for non-members.

Eichelberger gained part of Franklin County during redistricting that should have gone into effect this year. However, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court rejected redistricting maps, so legislative boundaries remain in limbo.
Young Republicans to host 2012 Regan dinner
GREENCASTLE, Pa. — The Franklin County (Pa.) Young Republicans will host the 2012 Reagan dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Green Grove Gardens on Pa. 16.
Matt Kibbe, president and CEO of FreedomWorks, will be the keynote speaker. State Sen. John Eichelberger, R-Fulton/Bedford/Blair/Huntingdon/Mifflin, also is scheduled to speak.
Among the door prizes is a tour of the Reagan Ranch in California.
Tickets cost $40 each, $70 for a couple, or $250 for a table with eight seats.
