SPRING MILLS, W.Va. —A man suspected of a robbery at the Spring Mills Walmart pharmacy Tuesday afternoon was later arrested, West Virginia State Police said Tuesday night.
Jesse Lee Gibson, 27, of Hedgesville, W.Va., was charged with robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle, State Police Sgt. M.A. Cole said. The vehicle was stolen in Pennsylvania, Cole said.
Police were told the suspect went into the pharmacy and demanded Xanax, Cole said. He did not display a firearm, but threatened to use one, Cole said.
The robbery at 5680 Hammonds Mill Road was reported at 3:33 p.m. and investigated by State Police Cpl. Z.L. Nine, Cole and a Berkeley County emergency communications supervisor said.
