HOUSTON—
It's a good thing the Texans can look forward to their wild card round against Cincinnati (9-7) on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 3:30 p.m. inside Reliant Stadium. The Texans 23-22 loss to Tennessee, in their regular season finale, gave Houston (10-6) its third straight setback.
"That first drive, you know, we were really smooth. We came out [and] we were really aggressive. We felt really comfortable out there," T.J. Yates, a Texans quarterback who left and returned to the game with a bruised left shoulder, said.
"We're just gonna have to keep working at cutting those mental mistakes out."
Will Yates take the snaps against the Bengals on Saturday?
"Obviously, I didn't want him to go back in the game [on Sunday]," Gary Kubiak, Texans head coach, said. "We'll know better where we're at [Monday], at this point."
Jake Delhomme, who stepped in for Yates, completed 18-of-28 pass attempts for 211 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions, giving him a passer rating of 99.0.
