Planning on being uber-rich within the next 40 years? You might want to move to Singapore. The 2012 Citibank Wealth Report predicts that little island will be the wealthiest on Earth in the year 2050.

Based on what, you ask? Gross domestic product and purchasing power parity per capita. Without taking you back through Economics 101, it's basically the value of everything produced in the country divided by the number of people living there.

In 2050, Singapore's number will be $137,710 per person. Not sure how you're living, but that sounds pretty good to us.

Other big ballers in 2050 will be Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea. The U.S. is expected to slide in at number 5 with just over 100 G's per person.

Does that mean the average person here will make that much? Don't be ridiculous. The wealthiest 1% isn’t suddenly going to want to split the pot with the 99% of us struggling to make rent.

Depending on how things go here in the November election, we all might want to consider moving to Singapore.
