Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's basketball team announced their 2012-13 schedule today. The Bearcats will take on Division I Missouri State in an exhibition game on November 8th, and will travel to Riverside, California for a tournament is mid-December.
"We are excited about the schedule we have for the 2012-13 season," head coach Todd Voss stated. "We will face a line-up of strong opponents throughout the non-conference season preparing our team for league play in the MIAA, which always produces some of the best NCAA DII basketball in the country. Conference games are always the most important, but Bearcat fans & players have a lot to look forward to throughout this schedule. Our exhibition games will give our players a great experience and a good measure of where we are at with our development as a team. Drury is a great rivalry game to start the season and the California trip will provide strong competition & a lot of fun for our players. Our schedule should motivate us to prepare well. We look forward to the upcoming season."
SBU begins their regular season on Tuesday, November 13 with a trip to Springfield to take on Drury, while the Bearcats will open up conference play on Thursday, December 6 when they travel to Topeka, Kansas to take on Washburn.
