ANCHORAGE, Alaska—
The Alaska Department of Fish and Game has changed the way it notifies hunters for big game drawing hunts. Hunters who have applied for these hunts will now be notified by e-mail.
The department will send out the e-mails early Friday morning and by noon on February 15, a link to the results will be posted on the Department of Fish and Game's website beneath the hunting section.
The new e-mail method is an effort by the department to better serve the hunters and to reduce congestion on their website after the hunting results are posted.
Drawing hunts are awarded by lottery.
