A south Sacramento gas station has run out of unleaded fuel.
The station manager at the Valero station, at Fruitridge Road and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, told FOX40 that they would have more unleaded gas by the end of the night.
At the time of the shortage, the cheapest fuel at the station was at $4.59/gallon.
FOX40 viewers reported similar shortages in their areas. Chris Hartley said the 76 station on North Texas Street in Fairfield saw a shortage. Another viewer, identifying herself as YellaDiamonds Labanog on Facebook, wrote that the ARCO station at Elk Grove Boulevard and Harbour Point Drive saw a shortage as well.
Similar shortages have been reported at gas stations in southern California. Since Thursday, the price of gas in California has spiked as much as $0.20.
