Fans of Goose Island Beer Co., a leading Chicago craft brewer, can enjoy a four-course beer pairing dinner 6-8 p.m. Tuesday March 5 at Roosevelt’s 21st in Bethlehem. Goose Island “Vintage” brewer Wade Gerhardt will discuss the three “Vintage Ale” and one “Classic Ale” featured selections. The restaurant will be closed for regular service during the event.
Chef Bill Miller’s menu includes: Baked brie served with Sofie (Belgian style farmhouse ale), cheesy beer soup with India Pale Ale (English style IPA), roast pork with black bean-corn salsa with Matilda (Belgian style pale ale), stuffed filet of beef with blue cheese sauce with Pere Jacques (Belgian style abbey ale). Lemon sorbet follows. Guests receive a 4-ounce tasting of each beer, plus a draft beer of choice and a souvenir Goose Island glass. The price is $40 per person, plus tax and tip.
