Analysis: It doesn't appear the door has been completely closed on Bower deciding to sign with the Seminoles. But he certainly appears as of now to be the least likely of this group to come to FSU.
A New Jersey native, originally recruited by now-departed assistant James Coley, Bower fits the mold of the type of big defensive end the Seminoles have been trying to woo. He's long, athletic and already has a weight coaches can work with.
Those are the very same reasons a number of SEC schools hope to see his signature next Wednesday.
Bower appears headed to Auburn. If he goes there, FSU still seems confident in its stable of defensive ends led by Edwards, Casher, Newberry, Walker and Hollin. Following Bellamy's de-commitment this week, though, another four-star end wouldn't be a bad addition for the Seminoles as they wrap their recruiting efforts and try to make a last-minute stretch for having yet another top-10 class.
