Alabama’s Mike Groh was named the Recruiter of the Year by 247Sports.
The 41-year-old, who is the wide receivers coach with the Crimson Tide, was one of the main factors in the program nailing down the top recruiting class this season. Alabama had 26 commitments including six five-star commitments and 12 four-star players as well.
It was Groh who helped the program land the No. 1 receiver in Robert Foster as well as lineman A’Shawn Robinson and defensive tackle Dee Liner.
While Groh was the top recruiter in the country, several other names were mentioned for their excellent work on the recruiting trail including Florida defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson, Florida State defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt and Ole Miss co-defensive coordinator Wesley McGriff.
McGriff was one of the catalysts for the Rebels landing the No. 6 composite class on National Signing Day including the top player in the nation, defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, who was one of four five-star commitments in the class.
Here is the list of top 50 recruiters according to the site.
