Three Central Florida prospects are a part of what is being called the best recruiting class in Kentucky history.
Freedom WR Jeff Badet, DeLand RB JoJo Kemp and Winter Park DB Blake McClain signed with the Wildcats Wednesday morning in a 22-man group that is ranked 28th nationally by Rivals.com.
That is Kentucky’s top-rated class of all time, according to the Courier-Journal.
What makes the haul so impressive is that coach Mark Stoops has only been in charge of the program since late November.
Badet and Kemp pledged to Kentucky last week, while McClain has been part of Big Blue Nation since the summer, although he did waver when former head coach Joker Phillips was let go.
The area trio played a somewhat significant role in getting the Wildcats to the cusp of a top-25 national ranking. All three are ranked 3-stars by Rivals.
There are nine Sunshine State players total in Kentucky’s signing class.
Kemp (5-10, 190) is No. 11 on the Sentinel’s 2013 Central Florida Super60 list. Badet (5-11, 170) is No. 13 and McClain (6-0, 185) is No. 25.
