Valentine's Day is approaching and a few apps are letting mobile users start sharing the love ahead of time.

The Be Mine Lite app adds heart-shaped stickers to a selection of pre-loaded background images and also lets users upload their own pictures from their iPhones. Users can add text, change its color, and resize the images. It's a bit clumsy to use, but it's free.

Red Stamp app is another free iPhone app that features a collection of greeting cards, including a bunch for Valentine's Day, that users can modify - adding personal messages and pictures. The free app also posts the e-cards to Facebook and Twitter, as well as sending them through email. Users can also mail a physical card for a fee.

ScrapPad is a free iPad app for creating scrapbooks with photos from a user's tablet with borders, stickers, and other romantic icons. The app lets users order a physical book from Printzel.

Candy Valentine Hearts creates mobile versions of the popular powdery sweets that are synonymous with the romantic holiday. The app is $0.99 and lets users write their own personalized messages on the multicolored hearts and share them on Facebook, Twitter, and email.
