VirtualArtsTV.com is presenting WiredArts Fest, a live-streamed performing-arts festival. Think of a Fringe Festival, the publicity states, but online — where the audience is global, seating is unlimited and viewers can participate in live-chat discussions, interact through Twitter and Facebook, while the performance is happening.
The WiredArts Fest will feature 14 shows running in repertory during 12 days.
Performances include "Abstract Nude," written by Gwydion Suilebhan; "Exit 12," by a New York dance company; Sartre's "Huis Clos (No Exit)," performed in French with English subtitles; and "Die: Roll to Proceed," an audience participatory choose-your-own-adventure comedy with 240 possible outcomes.
VirtualArtsTV's previous project garnered more than 50,000 views from all over the world.
Watch the WiredArts Fest from Feb. 19-March 2. Program A is at 7p.m. nightly, Program B is at 9:15 p.m.
Online tickets are $2.50 for a high-quality, commercial-free stream. Go to http://www.virtualarts.tv/wiredartsfest/tickets
