Bikes For Kids coordinator. Do you like to cycle? Would you like to help kids have that opportunity? Volunteer to help coordinate United Way's annual Bikes for Kids project. You'll recruit bike shops to spend the winter refurbishing used, donated bikes (Revolution Bike in Charlevoix is already doing this) and identify youth-serving agencies to distribute the bikes in the spring. You'll work from home or your office, on your own schedule, coordinating with United Way staff. A daughter, Gretchen Elaine Farrimond, was born to Shannon and Brad Farrimond of Houston, Texas, at 11:09 a.m. Oct. 8, 2011, in Houston, Texas. Gretchen weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces at birth. Grandparents are Mike and Kay Farrimond of Petoskey, and Steve and Leslie Fluke of Pearland, Texas.
Twins, Cadance Jade Steinert and Jack Mason Steinert, were born to Kenneth C. and Alissa A. Steinert of Boyne City Oct. 19, 2011, at Charlevoix Area Hospital. Cadance weighed 5 pounds, 4 ounces at birth. Jack weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces at birth. Grandparents are Garry and Cindy Smith of Engadine, Kenneth Steinert of Bay City and Teresa Klecker of Bay City.
A son, Alexander Leon Corp, was born to Whitney Sawyer and Chris Corp of Charlevoix Oct. 19, 2011, at Charlevoix Area Hospital. Alexander weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces at birth.
A son, Colton William Crossman, was born to David and Sara Crossman of Central Lake Oct. 21, 2011, at Charlevoix Area Hospital. Colton weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces at birth. He has a brother, Devin Robert Crossman, 2. Grandparents are Rob and Cindy Bruce of Central Lake, Dave Crossman of Central Lake, and Lee and Paula Douglas of Central Lake.
