  3. Today's Buzz: Is Grayson right on records?

Orlando Congressman Alan Grayson tried and failed this week to win approval in a House committee for legislation to stop the Department of Defense, which includes the National Security Agency, from spying on Americans within U.S. borders.  Last week an NSA contractor revealed that the agency was collecting millions of records from U.S. cellphone carriers and Internet providers. Obama administration officials said the programs had thwarted dozens of terrorist attacks. Grayson and other critics argue that it's unconstitutional for the government to monitor the cellphone use or Internet activity of an American who isn’t personally suspected of involvement in terrorism or other criminal activity. Do you agree with Grayson? Should the NSA programs be shut down?  Or are you willing to surrender some privacy to the government in return for greater security? Do you think oversight from Congress and the courts will prevent abuses in the programs? Talk about it!
