  23. PSP Trooper "OK" After Crash in Lancaster County

    A State Trooper is okay after crashing a marked State Police car in Lancaster County. It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon along Route 30 in Paradise Township. 
According to state police reports, the Trooper was heading to a domestic incident and was driving in the eastbound lanes of Route 30 with his lights and sirens on.
As the trooper approached the crest of a small hill, a car traveling in the westbound lane was negotiating a left hand turn. Trying to avoid a crash, the trooper hit the brakes and swerved into the eastbound lanes to avoid a head-on collision with the turning vehicle. 
The cruiser spun out of the control, left the roadway and hit a cinderblock wall and a nearby home. 
No one was injured in the crash. State Police have not released the name of the Trooper involved.
