  1. Dec. 23, 2005: Rashad Anderson Scores Career-High 33

    The Hartford Courant
He shot three-pointers from all angles, never missing. He shot on the run, spotting up, stepping back. He smiled and pointed to the crowd. He smiled and yelled in the direction of courtside reporters. He smiled, it seemed, all afternoon. Rashad Anderson'...

  3. Spotlight On Kevin Ollie

Kevin Ollie pushed the tempo for some of the fastest, most exciting UConn teams of all-time as the Huskies continued their rise in national prominence in the early 1990s. He averaged 6.9 points and 5.0 assists in 1991-95, including career highs of 9.8 and 6.4 as a senior as UConn reached the Elite Eight. That team lost to eventual national champion UCLA and could have been UConn's best team before the national championship of 1999. Ollie is third on the Huskies' all-time assists list with 619, trailing only Taliek Brown (722) and Tate George (677). He is the only player in team history to twice record 200 assists in a season (212 in 1994-95, 209 in 1993-94). Also, Ollie twice had 14 assists in a game. Only Marcus Williams, who twice had 16, had more in a game.

  5. Spotlight On Robert Garrison

    The Hartford Courant
Garrison was a late commit to UConn before the 2005-06 season, when the Huskies were dealing with the suspensions of guards Marcus Williams and A.J. Price. Garrison lost the starting point guard spot to fellow freshman Craig Austrie and was not a major...

  7. June 29, 2006: Here's The Deal: Five Huskies Taken; Trading Frenzy Sends Gay To Memphis

    The Hartford Courant
As the early shock of Rudy Gay's drop down the board to No.8 faded into the bigger shock of seeing Marcus Williams alone in the green room, it was clear that the NBA draft was as unpredictable as everyone predicted it would be. Four UConn players -- Gay,...

  19. New Jersey still not kind to Bulls

    Tribune staff reporter
With the NBA's trade deadline coming Thursday, perhaps there's still time for general manager John Paxson to swing an oft-suggested deal for the long-lost A.J. Guyton. That seems to be the only way the Bulls ever can defeat the Nets at IZOD Center. Even...
