Sumo by Nambara will host a benefit Pancake Breakfast event Saturday, January 26 from 7 am to 11 am at which all proceeds will be donated to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.
These funds will be used to help the Greater Wichita community by assisting the YMCA in proving free and reduced costs services.
For a $5 donation, attendees will enjoy a breakfast complete with pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice, milk and more.
Children in attendance can enjoy activities provided by Small Smiles Dentistry and everyone can enjoy music provided by Hadley Middle School Select Ensembles.
Door prize drawings will take place each hour and there will also be drawings for more substantial prize packages as well as a silent auction. One entry for a prize package can be gained in exchange for a $1 donation to the YMCA.
“Sumo believes in give and take,” says Mindy Tan, Special Events Chair of the North YMCA’s Advisory Board and also wife to Sumo by Nambara Restaurant Manager Kah Tan. “So many local businesses have contributed to make this event a success. We hope to raise funds to help provide free swimming lessons to area 2nd graders to aid in the reduction of the areas drowning rate, provide free after school middle school programs to keep kids from going home to an empty house and so much more. Every dollar counts!”
