Twin Peaks restaurant gives back

Twin Peaks restaurant gives back (February 5, 2013)

During October (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month), Twin Peaks Restaurants around the country participated in the campaign “Save Second Base.”

To raise awareness, the restaurant designed “Save Second Base” T-shirts – one men’s, one women’s – that were available at all Twin Peaks locations during October. Over $5 from every "Save Second Base" T-shirt sold was donated.

The campaign raised $22,000 for local breast cancer awareness charities and benefitted a total of 16 charities. One of those charities to benefit from the restaurant’s campaign was Kansas University's Wichita Center for Breast Cancer Survivorship, which received $1,670.00.
