  7. Port of Anchorage Loses Coast Guard Anti-terrorism Team as Tenant

    The Port of Anchorage lost a big tenant last month.  A U.S. Coast Guard anti-terrorism unit that was based at the port has been a casualty of federal budget cuts.  The Anchorage Maritime Safety Security Team was one of twelve units nationwide.  The security unit had about 75 staffers, who have since been transferred elsewhere.  They worked in an area adjacent to the Port’s main office.

Sharif, who has twice served as Pakistan's prime minister, has said he wants to build a more robust democracy, revive the country's shattered economy and end the military's 40-year domination of its politics.
