17. Sono Caffeine in Norwalk: It's Not Just Coffee

Sono Caffeine has been around for years. It's the place I did my homework during high school and it's where I took my out of town college friends when they visited. It's comfortable, has great coffee and pastries, and their chocolate caramel cake is amazing. My favorite thing to get is a pot of masala chai, served in a yellow tea pot with a tea cup and saucer that could pass for something on your grandmother's hutch. They frequently have open mic nights with local musicians on Thursdays as well. Go, sit, relax and sip.

  19. The finest of Spain's fatty fruits, right here in Connecticut

There's this unfortunate (and hilarious) thing that happens on cooking shows, where the hosts say things like "oh, it's like an explosion in my mouth!", or they make ridiculous, exaggerated moaning sounds to indicate just how delicious the food they're eating happens to be. Because I am basically Beavis, or Butthead, or any of the characters from Hot Tub Time Machine, trapped in the wrong body, all I can say is "that's what she said" and titter uncontrollably when things like this happen.

  21. Real Deal Cheesesteaks at Tim's Philly Steaks in South Norwalk

Tim Allabashi is a Delware native who grew up close to Philly, and when he relocated to Connecticut he just couldn't find a proper cheesesteak that fulfilled his cravings. So, he opened his own joint and imports the ingredients all the way from Philly to ensure an authentic experience. In fact, the rolls come from Amoroso's Baking Co., the exact same bakery that Pat's King of Steaks and Geno's use (Philly bread is lighter and thinner). Sounds like we're going to have to do some official taste testing soon. Anyone up for a road trip to the City of Brotherly Love (and Steak)?
