9. Crime & Punishment: A 72-Year Old Marijuana-Growing Grandpa

Donato Anthony Minicozzi, a 49-year-old flooring salesman from New Jersey, embarked on a campaign of harassment against a New Canaan woman he dated more than 20 years ago and her husband, police told the Stamford Advocate. The couple says someone made menacing calls to their home three to five times a day for six weeks. He also placed orders for 20 pizzas and a massive quantity of Chinese food which were delivered to the residence and threatened to send a parade of strippers and call girls. The man contacted the husband at the financial firm where he works to belittle him as a "crook" for having worked at Bear Stearns. The couple thought the caller wanted money but pieced together references to the wife's college years to implicate Minicozzi (though the motive was still unclear because they had only gone on a few dates). Police say Minicozzi, who recently went through a divorce, said the calls were a "prank" gone too far.
