    <b><i>Q: At a recent meeting of citizens interested in protecting the historic Knecht's Covered Bridge in Springfield Township, our conversation included the array of signage that Bucks County has deemed appropriate to place in front of this beautiful structure. The majority of residents felt the signage was excessive. We understand the need for safety and to protect the bridge from damage by vehicle strikes, but the view of the bridge has been thoroughly trashed with signage, which devalues its historical importance. We think something could be done to eliminate or at least mitigate the stark visual intrusion while meeting reasonable notification requirements. Can you ask PennDOT to review the situation?</i></b>
