12. Snarls abound at Airport Center

Q: Anyone who had the misfortune of patronizing the new Airport Center shopping center over the holidays can attest to the poorly functioning traffic plan. On Airport Center Road coming off Airport Road, the two lanes are marked with ineffectual directional arrows that do little to notify drivers they need to be in the left lane to continue on Airport Center Road, or in the right-turn-only lane to enter the shopping center. 16. Route 329: Dangerous road, or dangerous driving?

Q: It seems like once a week (but it's probably more like once a month) there's an accident on the stretch of Route 329 (Old Post Road) between Maple Street and Mauch Chunk Road. All the intersections are at odd angles and the beautifully paved road is deceiving in its curves and poorly banked angles. A baby died there a week ago — in an accident while seated on the lap of another passenger.
