Helping to reclaim 9-11 as a day of hope, this is a full-day community event being organized by local Methodist churches, marking the tenth anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. Hopefest 2011 will start at Maine East with an 7:30am memorial service and the unveiling of a steel beam preserved from the World Trade Center, and will be a community appreciation of the continuing dedication of our local first responders and disaster relief personnel.
A full day of family activities and volunteer service opportunities will be provided. Whether for an hour or for the whole day, it's our chance to step up and give back in the name of hope!
Admission is free. For more information call 847-825-3144
