Favorite local places to unwind with friends?
Any bar that serves Guinness from the tap. I love the burgers at Max's Burger Bar. In the summer, the rooftop of the Elbow Room can't be beat!
Dinner or lunch spot guaranteed to impress an out-of-town visitor?
Grants restaurant in the center of West Hartford is the best dining experience I have had in West Hartford.
The character trait you find most attractive in others?
A ridiculously sarcastic and smart sense of humor. Laughing is a great stress reliever, makes people more comfortable, and is a huge turn-on.
Your ultimate vacation spot?
The Caribbean. I am dive certified and the diving in the Caribbean is amazing. The blues of the water and the abundant and colorful sea life. It's another world. Specifically, Antigua. The rum in Antigua is so good, I brought back six bottles as gifts, and only gave one away. It was that good.
What is it about The Nutcracker that makes it such an enduring holiday success?
Tchaikovsky's score. The music is brilliant and iconic. Some dancers are sick of it and can't listen to it. I love it.
Ballet Theatere Company's production of The Nutcracker runs Dec. 15-18 at St. Joseph College's Hoffman Auditorium; dancebtc.org
