An Angola woman who admitted she pretended to have cancer will spend the next two months in jail.
A judge has also sentenced April Landis, 27, to pay $4,400 in restitution and to complete 200 hours of community service.
Landis pleaded guilty to theft back in August. Three other charges were dropped as part of a plea agreement.
Community members worked to put a fundraiser together in her honor. A woman who actually has stage 4 cancer was among those who donated money to Landis.
Police said Landis shaved her head and a Facebook support group was created for her.
The director of a local charity turned her in to police after noticing Landis still had body hair, something that wouldn't be possible if she had really undergone chemotherapy.
