Group looks to buy the IZOD IndyCar series

The report added that the plan to buy IndyCar has the support from several well-known team owners.

Not for sale! That's the message from the leaders of the IndyCar series.

A report from the Sports Business Journal said that former IMS CEO Tony George is heading a group to buy the IZOD IndyCar series.

The report added that the plan to buy IndyCar has the support from several well-known team owners.

Current IMS President Jeff Belskus said the company has not received any offers to buy the series.
