Fast National ratings for Friday, May 15, 2009
The season finale of CBS' "Ghost Whisperer" won a narrow victory over the NBC documentary "Farrah's Story" to give The Eye the edge Friday night.
CBS scared up a 5.6 rating/11 share in primetime, squeaking past NBC, 5.5/10. ABC came in third with 3.6/7, followed not-so-closely by FOX at 2.1/4 and The CW at 1.1/2.
CBS and NBC tied among adults 18-49 with a 2.0 rating. ABC was third again with 1.6, followed by FOX (1.2) and The CW (0.7).
The "Ghost Whisperer" season finale handily won at 8 p.m. with a 5.6 rating/11 share. NBC's "Dateline" followed at 3.8/8, and "America's Funniest Home Videos" netted ABC a 3.2/7. FOX's own high-profile finale, the end of "Prison Break," could only escape with a 2.0/4 in its first hour. The CW's "The Game" came in last with a 1.3/3.
"Farrah's Story" took over for NBC at 9, grabbing an impressive 6.1 rating/11 share. CBS dropped to second with "Flashpoint" (5.3/10). More "America's Funniest Home Videos" earned a 3.7/7. A few more people tuned in for the second hour of the "Prison Break" series finale; it scored a 2.1/4. The CW's rerun of "America's Next Top Model" walked away with a 1.0/2.
"Farrah's Story" continued to dominated for NBC at 10 p.m. with a 6.6/12. CBS' "Numb3rs" followed close behind (6.0/11), and ABC's "20/20" trailed the pack with a 3.8/7.
