Patrick has an update from Day 2 of Iron Dog. Team 8 leads the pro class out of McGrath, while weather looks to test teams as they race towards the coast.

Team 18's Eric Watson airlifted from Iron Dog trail.

Team 18's Eric Watson had to be airlifted from the Iron Dog trail, and taken to the hospital. Team 18 said Watson has a broken rib, lung contusion, and is currently recovering at home.

Mostly Sunny Skies today for Monday 2-19-18

We will be under mostly sunny skies with patchy freezing fog early as we warm up to 29 degrees today. Tonight we will drop down to 17 degrees as we transition to mostly cloudy skies. We look to remain dry for a few days until another front moves into our area on Wednesday or Thursday but for tomorrow we warm up to 31 degrees under partly cloudy skies with areas of patchy freezing fog.

UAA Robotics competition

Dozens of teams of students gathered in Anchorage this weekend for a robotics competition, the goal of the program is to inspire an interest in science and technology among young people.

Catch the start of the Iditasport Ultra Marathon in Willow, on February 19, 2018. Racers will travel 1,000 miles to Nome along the same route as the Iditarod trail by skiing, biking, or running. Some racers will then travel to Fairbanks for a 2,000 mile total journey.
