ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

The recent storm from the south Bering Sea moved quickly across the state leaving power problems and flooding issues in its wake.

Wind over 40mph in Anchorage with gusts over 80mph on the Hillside and Turnagain Arm disrupted traffic and power on Tuesday.

Rainfall amounts averaged one inch, which doesn't seem heavy, but it followed the eleven inches previously received over the last 8 week period.

Better weather is forecasted for Thursday with partly sunny conditions, less wind, drier air with highs near 45 degrees. Light showers of mixed rain and snow can be expected for Friday into the weekend.
