August 2: Clouds & Showers Swallow Alaska
A large low and rigorous upper trough have brought clouds and rain to all of Alaska. Situated near the west coast, this 997 mb low is weakening and moving to the northeast as the trough lifts over the state. Until it clear the area late tonight, showers remain likely, with some heavy showers possible.
