The main weather feature in Alaska continues to be a closed stationary low near Point Heiden.  This low will stay put today but then move and east over the Gulf tonight and weaken.  An occluded front has been the focal point for rain.  This front has been slow-moving as it works its way into the state's southern shoreline.  All of SE, upslope areas of Southcentral (including PWS, the eastern Kenai Peninsula, and Kachemak Bay), and most of SW will see rain today.  Snow will fall above 1,500 feet.  Take note of that if your day involves travel through Turnagain Pass.

The Interior and West will be cool and tranquil.  Snow to the tune of an inch is likely for the North Slope but it will be dry elsewhere.  Mostly to partly cloudy skies will persist through the weekend.  Highs will top out in the 20s and lower 30s.

Showers will clear out of Bristol Bay and the SW region tonight.  A weak ridge will bring some clearing Saturday ahead of another system over the Bering.  Rain and snow will increase Sunday and into next week.  Highs today in the 30s and 40s.

Strong SE flow at the low levels is banking up against the Chugach Mountains today.  The mountains will shelter Anchorage and all of Cook Inlet from precipitation.  Light flurries or sprinkles cannot be ruled out, but will be inconsequential.  Long story short, expect mostly cloudy skies and highs near 40 to the low 40s all the way through the weekend.
