Chilly weather will continue for all northern and western regions of the state.  Highs will range from near zero over the Interior to 25 below along the North Slope.  Little if any snow is is possible.  Southcentral will stay below average levels for temperatures, as well.  Expect highs in the single digits and teens near Cook Inlet with 20s for Prince William Sound.

The persistent upper level trough over the Bering earlier in the month that brought warm storm after warm storm to Southcentral has shifted several hundred miles to the east.  As a result, the storm track has shifted to the east.  One storm after another will moves out of the Gulf of Alaska and continue to batter the Southeast Panhandle through the weekend.  Warm subtropical air will surge north ahead of each low, leading to rain and snow from PWS all the way through the Panhandle.  This is the windy region of the storms, also.  High Wind Warnings exist until this evening for much of Southeast.  Rain or rain/snow mix will be heavy at times.

Anchorage and the Valley will see another round of wrap-around moisture later today and tomorrow.  While snow will not be heavy, it could pile up another 1 to 3 inches on us.  This latest Gulf low will weaken as it moves northwest today, so winds will remain fairly light, along with the light showers.
