Like I reported yesterday, there is little change to the forecast, so I'll make this quick.

Weak low pressure is still developing and wandering around the base of a very persistent upper level trough that will sit over the state for two more days before retreating to the north a bit.  This pattern means snow showers for Southeast, PWS and, to a lesser extent, the Cook Inlet Region.  It also means that the brutal cold will remain for all of the west, southwest, Interior and north today and tonight.

Wind chills will approach 55 below near the Lower Kuskokwim, including Bethel.  They may drop to 80 below in the Brooks Range with the stronger gusts.

Snow from 1 to 4 inches is likely for the Panhandle and PWS, especially Cordova.

Light, fine snow will fall from time to time in Anchorage and the Mat Su.  Expect little accumulation.  Highs will be near zero to the single digits with lows from 5 to 15 below tonight.

A fun side note...convective showers of snow could devlop ahead of the surface low over the Gulf in the northern Panhandle today.  Thus, there is a slight chance of some thundersnow today.  While not unheard of, it is rather uncommon for January.
