It has been a wild last couple of days with 75-85 mph wind gusts and heavy rain and snow in Southcentral.  Fortunately, showers will end this morning as the Gulf low continues to weaken and moves toward the northern Panhandle.  In the wake of this storm, an inch or two of slushy, wet snow is possible in Eagle River and the Anchorage Hillside.  The rest of the Bowl and the Matsu Valley may see a rain/snow mix as precipitation comes to an end and periods of sunshine greet us this afternoon.

Snow will be widespread in the Interior.  2 to 4 inches of snow will be common in the central and eastern Interior.  Snow will end from southwest to northeast overnight.  Total storm accumulations could reach 8 to 10 inches near Kotzebue and in the hills above Fairbanks and Fort Yukon.  Winter Weather Advisories cover nearly all of the Interior.

Strong winds will cause near whiteout conditions along the North Slope.  Gusts to 55 mph from the east are possible.

As far as temps go, highs will be near 30 Interior, 40s SW and SE, and 20's NW and Slope.  Anchorage high will be in the upper 30s.  Lows tonight with drop into the upper 20s with clouds increasing.
