( FOX59, WXIN-TV / March 15, 2012 ) It was an idea from the girls themselves; to start collecting to help Southern Indiana rebuild. Over the weekend the young ladies - kindergarten through 8th grade - collected donations at a local Marsh grocery store to buy everything from bottled water to rakes. The girls also gave what they had in their own homes. Troop leaders point out it's this kind of initiative to help others that falls in line with the Girl Scouts spirit. Some of the girls involved in the project will actually head down to the tornado site on Saturday to volunteer their time in the clean-up efforts. |
