ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Late Wednesday night, two drivers died after their cars collided on a busy road in East Anchorage. According to a report by the Anchorage Police Department, three vehicles were involved.
The crash took place before 9:30 p.m. on East Tudor Road between Baxter and Patterson.
According to APD, a gray Jeep was traveling eastbound on Tudor Road when it sideswiped a black Chevy Imapala near the Baxter Road intersection and continued eastbound.
Then, the Jeep drove into oncoming traffic through a turn-only lane at Tudor and Patterson, going on to strike a silver Subaru head-on.
Both drivers of the Jeep, and the Subaru, were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither vehicle contained passengers. The occupants of the Impala were not seriously injured.
APD said factors that may have led to the collision are under investigation.
