Meet the 6th grader behind the 2020 Fur Rondy Booster Button design

ANCHORAGE (KTUU) Each year a new design is selected for the Fur Rondy Booster Button. This year the winning submission was made by Winterberry Charter School 6th grader Caleb Sharrock.

"It's a walrus, riding a dogsled, with mount Denali in the background." Said Caleb.

This aspiring artist has cultivated his skills over the past year. Caleb draws comic strips and has a number of running series that he's working on. His latest is "Meese" about a mouse detective.

The buttons and pins become collector's items every year and in this, the 85th edition of the Fur Rondy, Caleb Sharrock has now put his stamp on the famed Alaskan event.
