A doordrift has family pets stranded inside!

Anchorage, AK We have heard of and most certainly have used the word "snowdirft". But the recent high winds and snow have helped form a new word to describe snow piled against a door that it is literally a "doordrift".

The high winds and blowing snow had some family pets in a Glen Alps neighborhood "snowed in".

When Patricia Grenier opened the door to let the family dog, Parker, out, the dog seems perplexed by a wall of snow that drifted against the door, blocking much of the way.
But, the camera catches this...Klondike the cat knows what to do.
The Alaska feline starts scratching at the snow..knowing there is the outside world beyond the snow.
