UPDATE: APD searching for witnesses in overnight pedestrian hit-and-run

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) — Update: Sunday, Sept. 8
Investigators are looking for a silver Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab with a yellow license plate.

The vehicle had lumber in the bed of the truck at the time.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or its occupant or occupants is asked to call APD dispatch at 311 or 561-STOP to remain anonymous.

Anchorage police are searching for witnesses to an overnight hit-and-run that hospitalized a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.

APD says officers responded to reports of a collision between a pickup truck and a male pedestrian at 12th Avenue and Ingra Street just before 3 a.m. Saturday.

Witnesses told police that a silver Chevy pickup truck with a yellow license plate struck the adult male and then left the scene heading north.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the crash and didn't already speak with police, or anyone in the area at the time and may have captured some or all of the incident on video are asked to call APD Dispatch at 311.
