ANCHORAGE, (KTUU) - The Anchorage Police Department is warning drivers to avoid a section of the Seward Highway because of some traffic backup.
APD says a crash near milepost 113.5 on the highway is causing problems just south of Anchorage, near McHugh Creek.
In a press release, APD said Monday morning the crash involved a box truck that lost part of it's load and that no one was hurt.
The accident Monday morning comes after Sunday night APD said drivers can expect significant delays on the Sterling Highway for the next 24 hours between Milepost 58 and Milepost 75.5. The delays also include other roadways connected to the Sterling Highway.
If you are coming back to Anchorage from a weekend fishing trip, your travel time may be a bit longer than expected.
