ASD schools will make the call to either have recess inside, or cancel outdoor activities due to smoke concerns

ANCHORAGE, (KTUU) - The Anchorage School District says because of the smoky air, some schools will decide today whether or not it is appropriate to bring students inside for outdoor activities such as recess or athletic practices or to cancel them altogether.

ASD says its plan is to open our school doors to our nearly 48,000 students who are eager to begin learning in their classrooms for the start of the school year.

ASD said in a Facebook post each school site will make the call for their respective school.

ASD adds they encourage parents/guardians to use your best judgment in determining whether or not your child should attend school.
