ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - Popular funnyman Jim Gaffigan will be performing two shows in Alaska this summer, according to a release by the venue hosting the comedian.
Gaffigan, who has performed in Alaska multiple times, will be returning to give two shows back to back in one day at the 2018 Alaska State Fair. This will be Gaffigan's second time performing at the fair since previously appearing in 2015.
In a release issued by the fair's marketing coordinator, they say tickets for the Sept 2 show times will go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 8.
The comedian is the first act to be announced so far in the 2018 concert series at the fair.
Gaffigan is a Grammy-nominated and New York Times best-selling author, who previously starred in his own self-titled TV show, “The Jim Gaffigan Show.” He has also appeared on several other television series such as Dr. Katz and Flight of the Conchords.
Gaffigan is currently finishing his 2017 concert series, the Noble Ape Tour, and is preparing for his 2018 tour, The Fixer Upper, according to the release.
Fair representatives said tickets will be $35 for the lawn area, $75 for reserved seating, and $95 for "premier seating." These prices are in addition to fair entrance cost and other fees.
